Whats the difference between grand touring all season tires and high performance all season tires?

Question by Derrick W: Whats the difference between grand touring all season tires and high performance all season tires?
I’m thinking about buying some new tires for my dodge charger, and the orginal factory tires are grand touring tires. I went to tirerack and realized they also have high performance all season tires i could buy instead of the grand touring. My question is whats the difference between the two tires?I’m a performance guy myself, so instantly was leaning towards buying the high performance all season tires, but i don’t know if it will benefit me more then the orginal grand touring tires.

A Grand Touring tire will have a softer ride & probably better winter traction than the high performance tire all season tire.

grand touring= nice soft quite ride good for long trips
performence= little louder harder ride but better at faster speeds and cornering.

  2. dodge man says:

grant touring ,or what some call the gt tire is rated for higher speeds and all season tires are good for all types of driving, like winter weather ,mud and snow conditions also, they will have a different tread design that will allow them to get more traction then the grand touring tire, good luck.
